My work is characterised by understanding. I am a cross-discipline artist, finding ideas first and matching materials afterwards. I draw, paint, sculpt, dance and make videos.
Much of my work is purely visual or metaphorical, simple messages of observation translated into ideas and then output as aesthetic stimuli.
Up untill 2009 my pieces were very much embedded in nature, living on Dartmoor my creativity was saturated by my surrounds. Moving from this 'bubble' into the city during 2010 I began to connect with social issues and my work moved to incorporating inner thoughts rather than purely outer stimuli.
In other words; I don't just have opinions these days, I turn them into a visual format and put them in peoples faces!
